Hauraki Aeroclub offers TRIAL FLIGHT PACKAGES in the Tecnam sport plane and the Glider to encourage new members and to give flight experience to those who may not have had the thrill of flight before. Hauraki Aero Club are now the proud owners of a Schempp-Hirth Janus 11c two place glider to take over the roll the faithfull Blaniks played for so long. With there demise the club has upgraded and now offers training,and trial flights most Sundays and other days by prior arrangement. In April 2012 we are endeavouring to organise a trip to Ardmore to see the Mosquito rebuild at Avspecs and hopefully some other rebuilds / Warbirds as well as lunch at the Cafe. This will happen on a week day as they are not open weekends and will take the whole of the afternoon. I need an indication of numbers to sort out transport so please indicate to me if you would be available and what day would suit you best, numbers will be limited,on a first in basis. Then we can work towards finalising a day and cost.

The Tecnam Sierra p2002 ZK-JNG which is fast and a delight to fly is proving to be the mainstay of the club. At $50 less an hour to fly than the Cessna it is becoming the weekend machine of choice for pilots. It's easy to fly faster than the 172 and only req's a type rating for you Cessna fans to fly it.
